LEGAL · GDPR ART. 13

Privacy policy.

LAST UPDATED: 16 SEPTEMBER 2026

The short version: we use your name, email and message to reply to you — nothing else. No cookies, no analytics, no mailing lists. The full version follows, as required by Art. 13 of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

01Data controller

The controller of your personal data — the one who decides why and how it is processed — is:

Controller
Caelure Records
Email
mgmt@caelurerecords.com

For anything about your data, write to that address. We answer within one month.

02What we process and why

We process only what you give us and what any web server records by design.

Contact form

When you use the form on the site we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. We use them to read your request and reply to it. The same applies if you email mgmt@caelurerecords.com directly.

Giving us this data is voluntary. Without it we simply cannot answer you.

Legal basis — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before a possible agreement, and Art. 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

Demo submissions

A demo usually arrives as links — SoundCloud, Dropbox, Spotify, a private stream — plus whatever you choose to add: artist name, socials, a few lines of context. We use it to listen and, if it's a fit, to get back to you. Send links rather than files, and only what we need to hear the music.

Legal basis — Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

Server logs

Like any web server, the one hosting this site records each request: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested, and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running — spotting abuse, diagnosing errors.

Legal basis — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in the security and integrity of the site.

03Processors and third parties

We don't sell, rent or share your data for marketing. The only parties who touch it are the ones needed to run this site:

  • Formspree, Inc. (USA) — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox and keeps a copy in our account. It acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR; transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Its policy: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy (opens in a new tab).
  • Our hosting provider — serves the site and keeps the server logs described above, on our instructions.
  • Spotify, Instagram, RouteNote, co:brand and our artists' sites — links to them open third-party sites with their own privacy policies. Nothing is loaded from them until you click.

04Cookies

None. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no players or social widgets. Fonts are served from our own domain. The only things kept on your device are two small settings in your browser's own storage — whether you have already seen the loading screen in this session, and whether you switched Reduce motion on — which never leave your browser. There is nothing to consent to — which is why there is no banner.

05Retention

  • Messages and demos — kept as long as needed to handle your request, and no longer than 24 months from our last exchange. If a collaboration follows, the data becomes part of that relationship and is kept as long as it lasts and the law requires. The copy held in our Formspree account follows the same limit.
  • Server logs — kept by our hosting provider for its standard retention period, then deleted.

06Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 of the GDPR you can, at any time:

  • access the data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • have it rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • have it erased;
  • restrict how we process it;
  • receive it in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • withdraw consent, where processing relies on it, without affecting what was done before.

To exercise any of these, email mgmt@caelurerecords.com. We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you think we have handled your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it (opens in a new tab)), or with the authority of the EU country where you live or work.

07International transfers

We are based in Italy and your data is processed in the European Union, with one exception: Formspree processes form submissions in the United States under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). We transfer data nowhere else.

08Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

09Changes

We may update this policy when the site, our providers or the law change. The current version always lives at caelurerecords.com/privacy; the date below tells you when it last changed.
